Dictionary definition

edit

As it stands now, this article is not particularly: nothing more than a tautological definition. Is it better to keep it in the hope that it will be expanded, or put it up for deletion in the hope that it will be expanded? - squibix(talk) 21:06, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

could be interesting

edit

This could be an interesting page as a filter to various other sorts, if only someone would work on it a bit. I added a few links.Brosi 01:09, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Expansion of article

edit

Since this article is currently just a stub, I would like to expand it and make it the principal article on 21st century architecture, following up the article on Modern Architecture, which I've been editing, and the articles on Art Nouveau and Art Deco. It will have separate sections on different types of buildings (museums, skyscrapers, stadiums, churches, etc) with images and short descriptions of the major 21st century buildings in each category, and will have major examples from each part of the world. The current list of links to various movements and styles will be preserved, but the focus will be on the most important buildings by major architects. Comments, suggestions and additions as it goes along are very welcome. Cordially, SiefkinDR (talk) 17:21, 16 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

The images currently focus way too much on high-cost starchitecture and not enough on more typical architecture. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 20:59, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Contemporary architecture

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Contemporary architecture's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "DubaiOneInauguration":

  • From Skidmore, Owings & Merrill: Burj Khalifa Opening Ceremony. Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai One TV. 2010-01-04. Event occurs at 16:00Z. {{cite AV media}}: |access-date= requires |url= (help)
  • From Burj Khalifa: Bianchi, Stefania; Andrew Critchlow (4 January 2010). "World's Tallest Skyscraper Opens in Dubai". The Wall Street Journal. Dow Jones & Company, Inc. Retrieved 4 January 2010.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 10:22, 20 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
