A possibly useful source for information to add to the article
editJack Erickson's personal compilation of horizontally-opposed engines includes a section on Continental engines which has an entry for the A-40 (listed as the "O-110"). While this is a personal site, and the entry's data is listed in an extremely terse format, it does include a list of references consulted, specific applications of the engine, and certification dates of the various versions. This might be useful for adding information to the article at some point. Though the site itself does not qualify as a reliable source, the references it lists may be citeable. --Colin Douglas Howell (talk) 18:56, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
