I don't believe Ken Stabler was ever in the CL. Another Oakland Raider, Otis Sistrunk (#60 DL) was. Marknel 23:58, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bob Kuchenberg

edit

Bob Kuchenberg's biography at the Pro Football Hall of Fame says he played in the Continental Football League in 1970. This page says the league folded after the 1969 season. Which is right? -- Mwalcoff 03:48, 2 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Continentalfoyujtr.gif

edit

Image:Continentalfoyujtr.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I seem to recall a team in Montreal called the Montreal Rifles. It later moved to Toronto for a couple of seasons as the Toronto Rifles. Their coach was Leo Cahill. I think he's still alive and living in Toronto. Two quarterbacks from the Continental League went on to star in the Canadian Football League - Don Jonas (Winnipeg Blue Bombers) and Tom Wilkinson (Edmonton Eskimos). In fact, they each won the Canadian Football League's Most Valuable Player award. Leo Cahill coached the Toronto Argonauts for several years, and later returned as the Argos' general manager —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.77.226.75 (talk) 20:34, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Team List

The "Philadelphia Bulldogs" are incorrectly linked to the Roller Hockey International (RHI) team of the same name, so I am going to go ahead and kill that link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.197.185.28 (talk) 20:33, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I recollect that the Continental Football league consisted of teams such as the Boston New Way Sweepers, Hartford Cedar Oaks, Syracuse Stormers, Toledo Tornados, Wheeling Wheels, Harrisburg Caps, Pittsburgh Ironmen, Orlando Panthers and perhaps some other teams that came and went. They played in the mid to late 60's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.78.39 (talk) 19:38, 21 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
