Merger Suggestion
editShouldn't this material be merged with variable valve timing? To the extent that automotive technologies are discussed, there is significant overlap, and that page contains history dating back into the 19th century world of steam engines -- where all the variable valve timing ideas were, in point of fact, continuous. I agree that this article should be merged with variable valve timing. Continuous variable valve timing is just an advancement in the technology of variable valve timing. In fact, all of the types of variable valve timing that the different manufacturers use are improvements to the base innovation of variable valve timing. Some of them even only vary by their name. Both articles have much of the same information and the redundancy would be eliminated if these articles were merged. I believe that if these two articles are merged, the combined article would be very strong.
I can't argue that this article has no place in the VVT article, they are obviously very related. I do feel like they are different enough that it can exist on its own, though. editThis article basically relies mainly on one source for most of the information. The information from this article seems good but using more sources would add to the strength of the article.
