Hello Lavalec! Your article is really interesting! I have just added some minor changes. Maybe you can add some pictures on the article! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elisa191996 (talkcontribs) 13:46, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Elisa191996! Thanks a lot for your feedback and your improvements! I have struggles to find pictures that were not protected by copyright, as soon as I have the opportunity to take a picture of a continuum robot, I'll upload it in the article :) --Lavalec (talk) 14:06, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

The article is really well written, especially in the first part. Nevertheless, the lack of images sort of turns down the curiosity of the reader. I think it would be appropriate to explain what a Fiber Bragg grating is. the "modelling" section is intuitive... great! can you name an example of "task" completed in an hazardous place?--Ettore morosini (talk) 14:23, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Ettore morosini! Thanks a lot for your input. I think the lack of images is an issue as well, I will explore more deeply Wikimedia Commons to try and find a suitable picture or I will upload one as soon as I take a picture of a continuum robot. With regards to continuum robots for hazardous tasks, they are still under development, but the applications that are cited in the papers that I've read are for sewer inspection and search and rescue: for example continuum manipulators can extend under ruins after an accident, to shed light on the scene. With regards to Fiber Bragg grating sensors I thought the link to the wikipedia article was enough, but it would probably be better to add a short explanation --Lavalec (talk) 15:15, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

The article is really interesting and well written. I would add some external links for the two solutions you suggest in the sensing paragraph. --Riccardo Munafò (talk) 14:59, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Riccardo Munafò! Thanks for your suggestions and feedback! I will add more references in that paragraph! --Lavalec (talk) 15:15, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Observations and suggestions for improvements

edit

The following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following expert review of the article within the Science, Tecnology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in June 2021.

Since this is the first version of the article, I would say that the implementation is very satisfactory. I would have enriched the subsections and inserted some images to increase the usability.
