editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Controversies in professional sumo. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20091110052734/http://www.eastwestmagazine.com:80/features/an-inside-look-at-shin-Sumo to http://www.eastwestmagazine.com/features/an-inside-look-at-shin-sumo
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

I always wondered how Sumo would be described by 22nd century feminists using The Huffington Post as their reference material. And now I know :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by 106.71.92.57 (talk) 13:19, 24 April 2016 (UTC)

October 2023 - Kokonoe Stable
editWould this incident qualify to be listed here, or does it not carry much weight compared to everything else listed? JRHorse (talk) 13:37, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- Even in the light of the new information released today, I don't think this news should be mentioned in the article. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we should be concentrating on the problems inherent in sumo and here we have an underage wrestler being sanctioned for something unrelated to past sumo scandals. At this stage my opinion would therefore be no, although I reserve the right to change my mind if the wrestler concerned (who was suspended and more or less forced to retire) subsequently decides to lodge a complaint against the sumo association. - OtharLuin (talk) 07:06, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- That is fair. More issues came to light today it seems, so perhaps if it really gets out of hand in some way, we look into it again? JRHorse (talk) 10:53, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- That's what I'd recommend, yes :) - OtharLuin (talk) 11:43, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
