Fair use rationale for Image:Loreto-crest.jpg

edit

Image:Loreto-crest.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

What kind of things?

"Joe McHugh taught things to the girls before becoming a politician." Surely this is someone's idea of a joke? --Slashme (talk) 17:16, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Joe McHugh — Fine Gael TD for Donegal and Minister for Education and Skills from 2018 taught the girls here before becoming the school's most recognised face nationally" It's getting worse. 2A02:C7F:8ECF:9900:710C:8C03:F0A9:CD6B (talk) 10:14, 21 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

The sentences The current headmaster Noel Ferry was the first male and the first lay principal of the school since it opened over 150 years ago. Susan Kenny is the current principal. need clarification - should Noel Ferry be described as former? Autarch (talk) 20:09, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why this Loreto Convent?

edit

It's not the only Loreto convent/school in the world, it's not the oldest, hasn't the most interesting alumni (Darjeeling has Holywood Actress Vivien Leigh and a Former King of Nepal for example, and was founded in 1846) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Punkfunkymonkey (talkcontribs) 03:28, 19 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Splitting

Should the page be split, giving the Convent it's own page? JoeMcCaff (talk) 16:40, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
