The Monk in the Cornfield

Would be an etching of Rembrandt, "The monk in the cornfield" (B187), dated around 1646, showing a monk in his robes between the legs of a woman. (Reproduced in The Complete Etchings of Rembrandt, edited by Gary Schwartz (Dover, 1994).) -- llywrch (talk) 05:12, 9 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

It's also in Wikimedia Commons, so I added it, removed some of the other examples, and added captions to rest. Having multiple examples by the same obscure artists didn't seem all that informative, and it was crowding out the text content. I also removed the pixel limitation to allow browsers to decide image sizes, which made them all bigger, making the article more crowded again. Oh well. Whether or not the Rembrandt counts as pornography is kinda subjective, but it seems close enough to me. Grayfell (talk) 05:42, 9 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Well, this might lead to some entertaining XfD discussions. As for this being pr0n... well, I was surprised by this etching the first time I saw it, but Rembrandt did create art to make a living. I suppose someone out there was a customer, & having read the article this etching makes more sense. -- llywrch (talk) 00:10, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
