Conyers (disambiguation) → Conyers – No need for WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to Conyers, Georgia, a relatively minor city, population 15,195. There are 33 entries at the Conyers (disambiguation) page, with no indication that this place is primary over everything else. Many county seats in the U.S., such as Talladega, Alabama are slightly or considerably more populous than Conyers and yet Talladega is a disambiguation page, not a redirect to the city. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 20:22, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom - no clear primary topic. When in doubt, it's safest to disambiguate. Paintspot Infez (talk) 21:32, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom and above. This is a term we wouldn't want editors using as a shortcut on mainspace. -- Netoholic @ 00:02, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose, clear primary topic. Did any of you actually look at the dab page? The only ambiguous topics are the given name, surname and baronetcy, and they aren't remotely as notable as the city, which happens to get ~75% of the page views. The situation of Talladega is completely irrelevant. —Xezbeth (talk) 04:14, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose and keep primary redirect. Come on people, almost all of those dab page entries are partial title matches, I see no evidence that any of those other places or people are known as just "Conyers". Per Xezbeth this is the clear primary topic. PC78 (talk) 10:22, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose'. Literally nothing on the DAB page is called simply "Conyers"; it is a very impressive list of partial title matches. — AjaxSmack 14:05, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose'. It seems the only apparent challengers to this topic is a name. This city is not a ridiculously notable city, but it seems like the most notable called "Conyers". --Quiz shows 04:01, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose I removed all the PTMs and split the surname and given name entries to separate articles, so it should be clear now that the town is the primary topic if the assertions above are accurate. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 23:05, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
- Comment The reader loses out in all this: seeking a person named "Conyers" they get to first a town, then a dab page, then a name list. Some of the mass-removed PTMs are of the specific+generic type of name usually included in dab pages (like "... River"), and others are also potentially useful to the reader. Removing them does nothing positive for the encyclopedia. PamD 04:48, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- Yes the entries should be included per WP:PTM since "Conyers" is the specific part. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:56, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
- Comment Since the nomination specifies that there are 33 entries listed at the Conyers (disambiguation) page, here, for the record, is the dab page as it appeared at the time of the nomination. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 14:26, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
