GA Review

This article does not meet the good article criteria and has too many issues. It has therefore failed its nomination. Issues include but are not limited to:

• There are not enough inline citations that are needed per WP:CITE.
  • "Geography and Location" is completely unreferenced
  • So is most of "History"
  • And "Demographics"
  • Most of "Education" as well
  • All of "Arts and Entertainment"
  • And the lead for "Parks and Community"
  • And most of "Sports and Recreation"
  • And so on
• A lot of information needs references.

I'll be honest, I didn't actually expect the article to pass (yet); I expected to have to make some improvements such as references. I am surprised, however, at some of the requirements. For example, the Education section has a reference for the first sentence, but the rest of section points to other Wikipedia articles that have their own references. Isn't that repetitive? Or the Demographics section, which has a single reference, but it references ALL the information in the section. Or the Sports and Recreation section, which has a link in almost every single sub-section. Or the Geography and Location section, which seems to imply that an article on Canada would need some reference to say that it is part of North America. Sigh. Maybe it's me, but based on what has been noted, I'm not sure I'd WANT to read a "Good Article" if nearly every sentence needs a reference counter after it. Oh well, thanks anyway. References in other articles are not taken into account when referencing one particular article. For Demographics, if that is the case, then the reference should be placed at the end of each paragraph; the reference naming method can be used to duplicate the reference. External links in the article's body should be moved to the External links section or removed, per WP:EL. For Geography, something at the very least like a link to a Google Maps page showing the location would be acceptable; this method is commonly used in articles about roads, for instance.
