Yes, this article and the article on edge data integration should probably be combined with the main article on data integration.

I have worked in the data integration field for the last 10 years, as a technical writer, trainer, integration software engineer, and consultant. These are good articles that make valid points and give useful information, but they're really just talking about different aspects and approaches to the data integration problem. It would make sense to put it all in one article.
