COI issues

edit

I have just created a page and the following issues have been flagged.

Any advice on how this can be resolved.

You admit that you are a paid editor here to promote Corgi socks which means you have a conflict of interest and shouldn't be creating articles like this at all. You submitted this for the articles for creation process and that is where it should have waited instead of you creating a promotional article for your clients. I carefully looked through the conflict of interest page and could not find it expressing saying it was NOT allowed. I believe it says something within the lines of you must declare your interest. That was what i was hoping to do here You admit.
We are not trying to mislead anyone but simply create a factual article which in our opinion the company merits - especially having received a royal seal and are the supplier of socks for the royal family.
Is it possible to get help from other editors to make the article more factual or inline with wikipedia's policies Hamish6600 (talk) 15:47, 22 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Right at the top of WP:COI is says
  • COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia.
and a few sentences down from that
  • In addition, COI editors are generally advised not to edit affected articles directly, and to propose changes on talk pages instead.
If you scroll down to the WP:PAY section is says
  • you are very strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly.
  • you may propose changes on talk pages (to which you can call attention by using the {{request edit}} template or by posting a note at the COI noticeboard), so that they can be peer reviewed before being published;
  • you should put new articles through the articles for creation process instead of creating them directly, so they can be peer reviewed before being published
all of which you have ignored here. Dammitkevin (talk) 15:56, 22 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
