this can not happen just in minutes but it takes lot of time to get through it

Coronary disease (or coronary heart disease) refers to the failure of coronary circulation to supply adequate circulation to cardiac muscle and surrounding tissue. It is already the most common form of disease affecting the heart and an important cause of premature death in Europe, the Baltic states, Russia, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand. And by 2020, it is very likely that all regions of the world will be affected.

Diet

Neither of the two references given as a motivation for the statement "Information recommending the reduction of animal based foods and an increase in plant based foods has been established for over 50 years" claims any such thing. The first reference (Mayo clinic) just mentions "Eat healthy food", which has in no way been scientifically proven to equate to "reduction of animal based foods". The second reference even explicitly allows (lean) meat in the diet, thus actually being a counter-example for the statement. Furthermore, the entire bullet point seems like a badly masked marketing attempt for Caldwell Esselstyn's book and DVDs, including a direct link to his website where these products are for sale, the only other reference being an article authored by Esselstyn. Esselstyn however completely ignores the fact that it may not be the plant-based nature of the diet that prevents or halts CAD, but rather the fact that it is healthier than what patients normally eat (more lean foods, less saturated fat). All Esselstyn's work is based on his own practice and is completely void of a throrough scientific approach (double-blind, placebo, isolation of the causative agent).Inkie23 (talk) 13:38, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Bad syntax

The last sentence of the intro, as it stands today:

It is most commonly equated with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, but coronary disease can be due to other causes, such as coronary vasospasm, where the stenosis to be caused by spasm of the blood vessels of the heart it is then usually called Prinzmetal's angina.

This begins well, but loses its way half way through. I cannot fix it because there is no way to tell what it is supposed to say.

Definitions and scope

This article is astonishingly short. It's main parts are lists of risk factors and treatments, linked to other Wikipedia articles. (Not a bad idea, actually.)

Are coronary disease, coronary heart disease, and coronary artery disease exact synonyms? If not, what are the differences in meaning?

If it is not the same thing as atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, then an entire section is called for listing all the different kinds of coronary disease, and how they differ, with links to other Wikipedia articles.

The section headed Causes actually lists risk factors. They are not the same. I'm going to fix it.

The section on diagnosis lists only one tool. There are many others.

Why is Esselstyn given so much play in the only paragraph on diet? There are at least a hundred named diets (less than half of which are notable enough to be in Wikipedia). The paragraph cites "peer reviewed studies", but no secondary studies in medical journals.

On the whole this article needs attention from experts on heart disease.
