Ian Douglas Campbell-Gray
editI question the life years (1901-1946 parenthesised) against the photographer's name in the caption to the joint robed photograph of the Prince of Wales and Princess Royal. Such a person would only be 10 years old in the coronation year of 1911. There is a wiki article on a Sir Ian Douglas Campbell-Gray with corresponding life years but it mentions no photographic activities (he was a Royal Engineers Lieutenant-Colonel who was a fencer for Britain at the 1936 Olympics.Cloptonson (talk) 18:56, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- Campbell-Gray were a studio see this article. Sir Ian was nothing to do with them at all. DuncanHill (talk) 15:27, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

The King's sisters?
editI see that neither the Princess Victoria nor the Queen of Norway are listed as attending. Is that correct? Surely at least Victoria was there. john k (talk) 23:40, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
- If so, they escaped mention in the official London Gazette.
- To avoid clashes of precedence, ruling monarchs and their consorts did not attend other monarch's coronations, which rules out the Queen of Norway. Our article on Princess Victoria of the United Kingdom quotes one source saying that after the death of Edward VII, she became "a glorified maid to her mother", so I suspect that she may have stayed at home with Queen Alexandra, who was also forbidden to attend by protocol (a rule later broken by Queen Mary in 1937).
