Symbol for Current
editThis article uses i for current when usually the symbol is I (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_current#Symbol). Is there a different convention for electrochemistry? 194.82.172.48 (talk) 09:15, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
Yes, it's usual to denote it as lower case i since in (Electro)chemistry. Why I don't know; two possible explanations: It ist often used together with length denoted as l and thus could be mistaken with I.
