Official name: Ontario Court of Appeal or Court of Appeal for Ontario ?
editIsn't the official name The Court of Appeal for Ontario? --Patinthehat1 19:01, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, the official name is Court of Appeal for Ontario. See section 2 of the Courts of Justice Act. Also the Ontario Courts web site refers to it as the “Court of Appeal for Ontario”. However, under the policy Wikipedia:Naming Conventions, the official name of an institution is not necessarily used as the title for Wikipedia’s article on the institution. I would support moving this article to Court of Appeal for Ontario but the article name could also be left as it is; I don’t feel strongly either way. --Mathew5000 20:36, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
