List of Judge shows
editI wasn't sure how to organize the list, so I settled on chronological order. If a show had more than one run, I sorted it by the start of its most recent run. CaptPicard (talk) 16:34, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Judge Rinder
editI note that popular court shows such as the UK's Judge Rinder are not mentioned in this article. If this is an exclusively american article then perhaps the title should reflect that, since this is a global encyclopaedia USA only articles ought to be identified. Alternatively the article could be overhauled to give balanced representation to worldwide court shows. Just a suggestion :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.97.70.13 (talk) 13:26, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- You make a good point. I am the primary editor of this article and I was simply not aware of Judge Rinder. To be fair, this judge's court show only just came out a month ago. AmericanDad86 (talk) 17:22, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
IP, I'm seeing articles on the early success of the Judge Rinder court show you mentioned starting to pop up online so I've added it into the article with the source. AmericanDad86 (talk) 15:04, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Organization of the article
editIt seems to me that the primary distinction among the various shows is as follows: 1. Some of these shows are scripted with the litigants being played by actors. 2. Other shows are real-life arbitrations, where the litigants are the real people who have the dispute, the presenter of the case actually renders an award between them, and the award is paid by the producers of the show to the winning litigant.
Yet both Science Court, an animated, scripted educational show in which fictional characters presented scientific principles in the setting of a lawsuit, and Judge Wapner's Animal Court, in which a real-life retired judge rendered arbitration decisions for real-life litigants, are listed in the same section of the article, "List of present-day nontraditional court shows". This seems to be less than helpful.
Can we find a better way to organize the article than what we have now? --Metropolitan90 (talk) 16:14, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
