Notability

Charlie Morgan Evans, aka, "Cowboy Morgan Evans" is a notable historical figure listed in the Rodeo Hall of Fame of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. He won the 1927 World Bulldogging championship at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Western sports and Rodeo Champions are notable in America and worldwide. Finding information on this individual on the Internet is virtually impossible. As WikiDon (talk) kindly proved. He did, however, discovered a link to Huff, Texas (see main article), which I'd never heard of. Texas is a very large state, with 254 counties, some of which are larger than some small states elsewhere in the USA. Evans birthplace had been called "Huff Community" in the early 20th Century. This guy lived in the sticks, and as WikiDon humorously and rightly suggested, the ranch where he was born was apparently near a Texas "spittoon gathering place". I have access to the hard copy documentation of Evans background, but if I add them it will only clutter the article. One thing that I haven't included in the article is that Cowboy Evans' two daughters are both Texas oil heiresses. I appreciate your input and help in making this article more worthwhile. We need some newspaper or magazine article clippings, they don't have to go in the article, but we need some kind of notoriety. There have literately been thousands of cowboys who have won at least one event at a rodeo over the last 100 years, that doesn't make them notable. There have been millions of guys in the oil business, and that is in Texas alone, that doesn't make them notable. There are hundreds of thousands of oil heiresses, and that doesn't make them notable either. They need to do something to be written about. If you have articles, upload them to your user page (or Wiki Commons) and then at least they will be re-viewable. But, at this point, this man does not pass the criteria for notability. I saw some old Fort Worth Star Telegram newspaper pages from the 1920s last week with an article on Evans. They're so fragile and crumbly that my main concern at the time was how to preserve them from futher oxidation. I'll scan some for ref. notatition.
