The current Mayor of Cowra is Councillor Willy West.

Cowra Council has nine, not eight current Councillors,

There is no "Bill West" on Cowra Council David alan dixon (talk) 02:52, 16 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

David Dixon Public relations officer,

Cowra Council

Thanks, David. There have been many idiotic edits on Cowra-related articles recently; perhaps the council should form a posse, hunt down the varmints and hang 'em from the nearest Coolabah; we are doing our best here (and you can help by editing as well) Crusoe8181 (talk) 12:12, 16 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

There are a number of outdated facts on this page. Could we please request access to edit/update details such as the current Mayor etc? Publicrelations-cowra (talk) 23:20, 11 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Not done: this is not the right page to request additional user rights. You may reopen this request with the specific changes to be made and someone will add them for you. Jackmcbarn (talk) 02:14, 12 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Cowra Council has eight councillers, not nine. The Deputy Mayor is Cr Ian Brown, not Cr Judi Smith. The village of Noonbinna is also not in Cowra Shire. Cowra Tourism (talk) 03:36, 22 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Not done: please be more specific about what needs to be changed. LittleMountain5 04:12, 22 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
And, especially as your number of councillers(sic) contradicts the post at the top of this page, please provide a reliable source to back up your request. Arjayay (talk) 17:43, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Dane Millerd: As you are employed by the council you can put your requests for changes on this page.

As wikipedia is a volunteer setup changes do not happen as fast as you may like, but this is the system. If you have supporting evidence then that can help.

As an example I entered https://www.cowracouncil.com.au/Council/Councillors which supports your request about the name of the Mayor. In general supporting evidence should be from an external source, so State Government documentation or a State newspaper for example is very much preferred. This is because an organisation (any organisation) may just be promoting itself.

Please copy your request from the Help desk to here. It will be easier if things are put together here. BlueWren0123 (talk) 00:17, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Further - I found https://elections.nsw.gov.au/elections/find-my-electorate/councils/cowra that lists the elected Councillors. Are there Minutes for a meeting where the Mayor is elected/appointed?BlueWren0123 (talk) 00:29, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the reply. At this stage I just need the new councillors from the 2021 elections listed as the elected council. At the moment it has the councillors from 10 years ago. Any help would be appreciated. Dane Millerd (talk) 00:37, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
