Product availability
editCracklin' Oat Bran is listed on the Kellogg's site (kellogs.com) as a listbox entry on their 'hard to find products' page 20.133.0.14 16:18, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- I have a box of this in my house right now. It's a real cereal sold in every supermarket in the northeast, at least. | Keithlaw (talk) (contribs) 18:10, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- Don't know why it's listed there. I never have a problem finding it. By the way, what do they put in it that makes it taste so much different (and better) than any other oat/grain cereal? Is it the palm oil or something? bob rulz 07:44, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- I never have a problem finding it either. I do notice that it almost never goes on sale. Every other Kellog product does, except this one. Anyone know why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.67.35.97 (talk) 06:40, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- I remember eating a similar cereal.. well it LOOKED the same.. in Nova Scotia, Canada back in the late 80's or early 90's but I think it was under a different name, which is possible.. I remember a white-ish box with a black & white photo of the cereal that looked like chain-links and it appeared to be PEWTER or STEEL because of the b&w photo. I know some cereals are under different names in Canada, like Waffle Minis right now, which look just like Waffle Crisp.. or maybe the minis are actually miniature versions of said cereal.. anyhow, it wasn't available after maybe 2 years. Kellogg's sells many cereals in Canada, but I've never seen Cracklin' Oat Bran here. 69.60.67.102 (talk) 23:36, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
I wonder if the bran (and its fiber) outweigh the saturated fat as far as being good for you goes24.75.180.31 20:19, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Should we make a note of this on the page? I only say that because I really enjoy the stuff but I haven't seen it in years. --76.199.4.41 04:38, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
The availability has definitely become more limited in recent years, but in some regions it is still commonly available. Online grocers like freshdirect.com have it available too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.14.118.114 (talk) 15:24, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

Anzac Biscuits
editWhen I was growing up, my Grandad used to have Cracklin' Oat Bran around (at least, I believe this was the product). I recently visited Australia and found that Anzac Biscuits taste similar or the same to the old cereal I grew up eating. Does anyone know if there's a connection between the cereal and Anzac Biscuits? If so, is there a way to link these items on Wikipedia? I think that Australians might appreciate this product if they travel abroad, as it's difficult to find things that remind you of home when doing so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.73.111.162 (talk) 09:54, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
