Between the NY Times review and The Globe and Mail article, he looks notable enough, I won't readd the tag. I'm going to categorize the article and tag it a stub, however.
By the way, did you know that when you're using external links in wikipedia, you only need one bracket rather than two? Also, you may want to check this out: WP:REF.
