I apologise for the recent vandalism of the article, which was the result of a dialogue between a local councillor and dissatisfied resident. He was the one who, not aware of the site's policy, began to use the article as a talk page, instead of placing any criticism here. I have added what my councillor would consider to be a balancing view. I hope this is satisfactory. Regards, (hedpeguyuk)
Hi there hedpeguyuk, I presume who you thought was a "local councillor" was me! The person who criticised the first article as i felt it was too harsh on Crawcrook. I see now that I was stupid to pick up on things such as misssspeliing when instead I should have focused on factual matters. Also at that time this page did not have a tlk page or at least would not let me access one (something to do with being a stub I think)? I feel positively about Crawcrook the place where I live and was brought up and consequently defended it. Many thanks.
No worries, your additions to the article just coincided with correspondence I was having with a local councillor about the article and I jumped to conclusions, I'm sorry. The article was harsh (I'd hardly call the park a major crime scene, just neglected) but the neglect it receives from the council is obvious. Nevertheless, there are other more positive aspects about the village, which is why I tried to balance the article. Regards. Hedpeguyuk
LOCAL ACCENT
editHow about something on the accent? - I'm thinking about the way 'Crawcrook' is pronounced locally (and the rest of T+W finding it amusing)? 90.208.205.56 (talk) 14:14, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Noticeable Persons
editI'm removing the 'noticeable persons' section unless someone can provide a reliable source of how they're noticeable. MIVP - Allow us to be of assistance to you. (Maybe a bit of tea for thought?) 21:04, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Picturesque Villages?
editWould advise removing the adjective "picturesque" in paragraph 2 of section "surrounding area," on the grounds that Prudhoe isn't picturesque in the slightest. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.76.152 (talk) 12:42, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
