less calories in the USA?

- Fat and calories are not identical: calories can come from a variety of sources. Dietary fat is not the only means of building body fat either. People who eat low-fat foods tend to eat more than they would full-fat foods, eating about the same amount of fat while also consuming more sugar or other sources of calories.
