I have revised the article specifically written in my own words. I have cited references that support the historical values of dates. These references exist prior to copyright in 1866 and 1898. They are public record information available for anyone to view. These references are cited for dates that support historical values to the information written. The information has been started and written in my own words. I may update and edit with additional information. I included the sources in the information. I hope this clarifies the information on the Creek Freedmen article. Looking in politics (talk) 01:47, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Muscogee-CSA Relationship

edit

Hey there -- the relationship between Muscogee people and the Confederacy is a bit off in this article. Although it is true that some Muscogee did fight for the CSA, many traditionalists (especially those from the 'Upper Towns') also fought for the preservation of the Union -- Opothleyahola, for example, refused to ally with the Confederacy. See the "American Civil War" section of the general Muscogee page.

This is actually my first time ever editing wikipedia, so I'm not super confident making the edits myself at the moment. Will come back and do it later when I'm sure I'm doing things right! :) Smeem0 (talk) 05:36, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Creek Freedman Flag

edit

The Creek Freedman Flag should be deleted, as it is not representative of the Creek Freedmen. There is no citation as to where the design comes from. Even so, the insignia itself is an AI-Generated image. The fact that it is AI-Generated lends doubt to its accuracy, as prompting AI-Generated of any flag leads to inaccurate results. The closest thing I could find to any actual symbolism was the emblem found on this website: https://www.1866creekfreedmen.com/, and the symbols from the flag and the symbol from this page clearly do not match.

As for evidence of it being AI-Generated, There are many examples to list out. I implore you to look at the scales at the bottom: They are not conducive to a pattern one is able to produce in any SVG Software, as well as the general fuzziness at the top of the stem with the misplaced green dot. There's also some ridiculous second light that no serious insignia would ever include. These are just few of the many instances to it being AI-Generated.

This is my first edit, so forgive me for any mistakes. Thanks! Majoriminorionoj‬ (talk) 2:53, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
