editReadded information on Letterman broadcast, was deleted for no logical reason.--71.205.219.29 (talk) 07:33, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yes it was — trivia is really not supposed to be present. Is this one television show so significant in the city's history that readers around the world should know about it? What's more, your addition was unsourced. Nyttend (talk) 11:57, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
I don't think it's trivia, that is a major historical event in the life of a little town like that. Readers all over the world would be more interested in a Letterman show than in the world's first stewardess. Here are two sources. http://www.mefeedia.com/entry/letterman-in-cresco-oct-1980/5962810/ http://blip.tv/file/605702/ It's also streaming on the website of the Museum Of Television History, but you need a log-in to watch it there. :) Let me know if I can put it back, I believe it's a worthy addition to the town's page. It'd be like leaving Cadillac Ranch out of the Amarillo, TX page. Thanks. --71.205.219.29 (talk) 22:30, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Among other things, the flight attendant has much more significance in the enduring historical record. After all, Wikipedia isn't the newspaper; will a single television appearance be of any significance in the long run? I can't imagine that it will. Nyttend (talk) 03:32, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
Hall of Fame?
editI'm confused as to which towns are connected to the wrestling hall of fame- surely there can`t be more than one?andycjp (talk) 09:27, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
