Need for audio example of infant monologuing to self

edit

The examples in the article are research transcripts that give examples of infants playing with word combinations. I have not used the phonetically transcribed IPA examples that show phonetic play since few readers will be able to read them.

What is needed is uploaded audio or links to show the infants playing with word sounds. Preferably a readable transcribe to help understand the child's words should also be provided.

I hoped to find some examples on youtube but there is nothing suitable: either two children talking in their bedroom or parents interacting with their child. There is none of a child monologuing to themselves practicing their speech.

I have posted one link title of a child waking up which seems to be a monologue but there is music in the background.--LittleHow (talk) 06:31, 2 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Examples

edit

I think the examples in this article aren't a very good addition to the article. I don't think giving us an exact transcript of a crib talk or two is important, we already are given enough info on what crib talk is. Whatever we should do, though, we should delete the names of the individual. No one cares about his/her name. If someone could give me a green light on this change that would be awesome. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.253.129.158 (talkcontribs) 20:50, 4 July 2013‎

Hi 70.253.129.158! I disagree with you on both points. I do think the (sourced) crib talk examples are a good illustration of crib talk, and I think the names of the children are relevant, because they use their names in the crib talk. Lova Falk talk 08:54, 3 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
