Jamaica murder rate incomparable with most listed countries
editI disagree with the crime comparison, Jamaica's far too small to be compared with those countries. If you broke most of the listed nations down to regions similar to Jamaica in population, they'd have both the higher murder rate and more murders such as the Caracas and Recife areas, Guatemala or Valle del Cauca departments etc. Jamaica's worse than Belize and anywhere in Mexico though. - @Power Society: Do you have any suggestions for how it could be properly addressed in the article? Unfortunately, I don't know of any statistics other than rate per total country population. I don't think anyone has compiled worldwide murder statistics by sub-national region. Nosferattus (talk) 19:55, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
Too short
editI say this page be either labeled a stub, deleted, or be merged with the Crime section of the Jamaica article, this article is too short to be of any use and a bit of a repeat. Captain Superman (talk) 19:22, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
Agreed. This stub maninly just repeats content word-for-word from main Jamaica article206.248.160.185 (talk) 04:38, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
Update
editI updated the murder totals, but do not know how to footnote, so I posted a link to the source article. Can someone please footnote the link? Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.242.9.103 (talk) 20:13, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

POV in Murder Rate Section
editThe murder rate section appears to not have a neutral point of view, using such as:
- Murders of LGBTQIA people are almost always as a result of jealousy and perpetrated by their partners or persons they were involved with.
Which is not a neutral point of view and also has no reference for this claim. Upsidedown Keyboard (talk) 21:14, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
- That content has been removed from the article. Nosferattus (talk) 19:56, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
