Moonlight Shadow => Chapman?
editI made a little edit. The page previously reported that Moonlight Shadow is sung by Roger Chapman, which is clearly bullshit.
Sorry for my bad english, if you think the whole stuff can be rewritten in a better way feel free to do so.
Terry Ilott artwork.
editNote that the Terry Ilott who painted the artwork for the 'Crises' cover is not the same person referred to in our Wikipedia article: Terry Ilott. Please do not Wikilink it. AndyTheGrump (talk) 01:04, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
Ferrari sound in "Crises"
editAs strange as it may seem, it would appear that 187.170.38.157's reverted edit concerning a Ferrari being an instrument on the album may in fact be correct. As of 2012 Oldfield is remixing the album in 5.1 and he posted a screenshot of the Pro Tools session online which lists a section as "FERRAR" (likely the word FERRARI truncated). Listening to the "Crises" track, a sports car revving can certainly be heard at around 2:55, and sounds very much like a 1970s/80s Ferrari. As this is pretty much original research it perhaps can't go into the article, unless people think that the above screenshot is enough justification. TubularWorld (talk) 22:26, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Crises → Crises (Mike Oldfield album) – "crises" is just the plural of "crisis". In ictu oculi (talk) 14:36, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
- Support The vast majority of those searching this term will be looking for the singular subject and not this title.--Yaksar (let's chat) 17:51, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:PLURALPT. Singulars and plurals can have separate WP:PRIMARYTOPICs. There's no evidence here that that isn't the case. Comparing Crises to Crisis shows that the Crises article is getting viewed much more than we would expect for a typical plural. (Compare Chairs versus Chair. Plus, this "Crises" is the most viewed "Crises" on WP. That adds up to: it is very likely that the majority of people typing in "Crises" are looking for this article. - True, maybe, with a capital C, if we had a way of making capital C titles (we don't). But those statistics don't make it unlikely that people typing "crises" (small c) are looking for "crises" do they? As long as we can't distinguish small c from capital C in titles, the natural meaning of "crises" (small c) will be crisis. And no reason has been given as to why (Mike Oldfield album) isn't a better title per WP:RECOGNIZABILITY for mobile phone readers looking for a Mike Oldfield album. In ictu oculi (talk) 23:33, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
- Incidentally, you cite WP:PLURALPT but apart from Windows redirecting to Microsoft Windows (not being at Windows), do you know of any article where a natural plural is actually the title? I think Snickers is the only one isn't it, in the whole of en.wp? In ictu oculi (talk) 23:43, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
- No, despite your best efforts, there are still plenty of articles and dab pages with plural titles, as there rightly should. Dohn joe (talk) 18:44, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

- Strong support. One need only do a straight Google Books search for "Crises" to find literally thousands of books about different kinds of "Crises", and no mention in the first few dozen pages of this album. bd2412 T 00:13, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

- Support - the album is definitely not the primary topic for the term, but shouldn't it be renamed as simply Crises (album)? There's no other album of the same name. -Zanhe (talk) 05:54, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
- There's another album listed on dab page, in artist discography at least. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:15, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
- Support only if the "crises (disambiguation)" page is moved to "crises". Otherwise, oppose per WP:PLURALPT/User:Dohn joe. — AjaxSmack 05:28, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

- Strong support the album clearly is not the primary topic of the plural form, the singular is. -- 65.94.40.137 (talk) 10:00, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
