Examples in the NHL
editUnless anybody objects, I'm going to remove the "Examples of Cross Checking Penalties in the NHL" section from this article. There are numerous examples of cross-checking just about every day throughout the NHL season. I don't see why examples are needed, or why this example should have special attention drawn to it. - Maybe if you knew who Joffrey Lupul was and didn't hate Canadians you would understand the importance and relevance of a comprehensive list of examples. - Elsworth Pimpsicle
- Mr. Pimpsicle, what does my hatred for Canadians have to do with this matter? MisterUnit (talk) 19:06, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know who Joffrey Lupul was (and the link to the nhl stats page doesn't explain anything) and I don't hate Canadians. To me, the example feels out of place. Ok, $10k is the maximum, but are NHL crosscheck penalties typically much lower and that makes it special? (If so, why the high amount for that particular crosscheck?) Or is the money being given to the Player’s Emergency Assistance Fund unusual? Or is this just a random example of a crosscheck penalty? This needs to either provide more context or be removed. As-is, it's just confusing and encyclopedically useless. 46.115.51.225 (talk) 23:32, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
