Does this place [Ty Gwyn] exist?

I have serious doubts about whether this place actually exists. Ty Gwyn cider is made at Whitehouse Farm, Crossways - [1]. Crossways is the name of the small hamlet on the B4347, according to the OS 1:25K map (which I assume is a WP:RS!) Personally I wouldn't really consider the hamlet "notable". Presumably Ty Gwyn was the name of a house in the area, though I don't think there's one of that name there now. Ghmyrtle (talk) 23:41, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

I had also never heard of it. I thought it was just a farm, presumably the cider-producing Whitehouse Farm. It seems that, even in Donovans' time, it was just "a slight building". I see that the farm's full address is "Crossways, Newcastle" - so maybe a name change to either of these places might be more appropriate. Martinevans123 (talk) 08:23, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

If the consensus is to keep the article for the hamlet, I suggest it be moved to Crossways, Monmouthshire and reworded accordingly. Or, we could simply have an article on Ty Gwyn cider - there are articles here and here, and a mention here (an article that may have leads to other possible articles, by the way). Sorry (even though not a local) I just had to ask. The text, the infobox, the map and the refs seem to suggest Crossways. But in the title of the article, and the OS map, it's clearly Crossway singular. Indeed "Crossways, Monmouthshire" is re-directed to here. The OS map also shows that it actually lies, or lay, on the Northeast boundary of Hilston Park. So I guess Hilston Park is really "directly to the southwest of the hamlet." (The White House, of cider fame, is actually on the estate and so was presumably the Home Farm for Hilston House). Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:29, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

Googling the postcode "NP25 5NR" seems to produce more results for Crossways, with the s, than for Crossway. The OS have been known to get things wrong! Without spending yet more time agonising over this article, I suggest we simply recognise in the text that both forms seem to be used. I'll put in some words and we can take it from there.
