Crunchyroll LLCCrunchyroll (entertainment company) – I want the article to be fixed by moving the topic from LLC to an entertainment company so that I can first correct the comma in the initial part, and even though, having requested the move, there has been a confusion in the Google search between Crunchyroll and Funimation, I would like to the situation between the corporation (Funimation) and an entertainment company (Crunchyroll) should be resolved and so many unnecessary disambiguations or redirects created by various users should be deleted. 179.53.57.51 (talk) 22:39, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

See Talk:Crunchyroll#Crunchyroll,_Inc._/_LLC. ;; it is the former operating company of the streaming service. -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 22:38, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
  •   Comment: According to the WP:NCDAB in point 3 which says about disambiguation in parentheses, adding a disambiguating word or phrase in parentheses can work, similarly a legal status, adjunct or other suffix is used when an ambiguity is eliminated, it is obvious that I understood this part in which, for a key reason, how this article is corrected in order to avoid comparing them both topics related to two companies or corporations and streaming services (I mean this and this) in Google search. 190.167.41.183 (talk) 05:50, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • There is also a "Crunchyroll Ltd." (formerly "Manga Entertainment") which can be described with the same proposed disambiguator, which is a subtopic at Crunchyroll UK and Ireland, being the operating company name of the UK/Ireland operations, making it yet a third entertainment company with the same name. -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 22:33, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose: The proposed name is ambiguous, as there seems to be about 8 different entertainment companies currently or previously called Crunchyroll that are discussed on Wiipedia. That doesn't even count the mysterious "Crunchyroll, Inc." which is currently not mentioned anywere on Wikipedia. — BarrelProof (talk) 00:38, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
And what do we do? We leave the issue of moving the article like that, that's how the article would look as if the parent company really is a trend on Google and nothing more. 190.167.35.193 (talk) 02:40, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Crunchyroll LLCCrunchyroll (entertainment company) – See: MOS:ALTNAME. It's been weeks since the page didn't move because no consensus was reached due to no one understanding me what I was trying to tell you about such disambiguations this and that, but i saw that my idea it didn't work and now I'm requesting a new move to reverse the creation of this article from whatever was trending in Google search, any ideas please help me. 190.167.168.130 (talk) 06:30, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

* Strong keep: hey come on, everyone knows that my suggestion about the topic was rejected in a RM two weeks ago, it was due to a lack of understanding towards all of you, because I can't think of anything else but to use my head with only me reading the style manual, and the title of this page must be followed by the first sentence by one or two alternative names in parentheses, and this to make it clear that Crunchyroll is still trend in Google search as the parent company being listed and compared to another company of the same name than Funimation, the corporation of this same (which is currently in the process of merging with the service) and I don't know what the hell I found that I reported it several times through Google itself on the two search topics, it is because I try to reverse those two corporate names or whatever they are called. 190.167.168.130 (talk) 20:50, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Can someone intervene the Crunchyroll LLC page that was targeted and revert to the last revision of this, the truth is that it does not seem to me that Crunchyroll is a subsidiary company instead of saying that this is a limited liability company and rename the current one to Crunchyroll (entertainment company), thanks. 179.53.54.149 (talk) 05:49, 14 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Partly done: Unsourced edit reverted. Obviously, I'm not moving the article to a different title considering the two requested move discussions above. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 19:58, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Why Crunchyroll LLC article appears property of Sony Pictures Entertainment (Sony Pictures Television) and Sony Music Entertainment Japan (Aniplex), a division of Sony Group Corporation and three references were added back to the sentence and the section was also added at the end of the bottom, the anime distributors involved and the portal that were also eliminated by several IPs if the streaming service of the same name is already owned, anyway, the article that I read in the opening sentence is a disaster and It should be partially reverted to the last stable edition of the user as you see here because the IP cannot edit on the page due to the protection that by the way expires before Christmas begins, thank you. 190.167.25.249 (talk) 06:10, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Question: It is unclear what you mean or what the merit of this change would be. Please present the request in more clear and concise wording. Ertal72 (talk) 22:39, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 03:27, 15 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Confusing History

edit

Crunchyroll existed before it merged with Funimation. The history section only cover's Funimation's founding and history and doesn't mention Crunchyroll until the partnership was announced in 2016. My memory is kind of fuzzy on exactly how it went so I would have to do some research, but this should be revised. The current state of the article simultaneously implies that Crunchyroll was and wasn't ever its own entity. Thesixthstaff (talk) 17:15, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

This article is about Crunchyroll, LLC, the company formerly known as Funimation Global Group, LLC. Prior to the acquisition by Sony, Crunchyroll's parent was Crunchyroll, Inc. (formerly Ellation, Inc.), which is an entirely different company and thus a unique topic that this article does not cover. Link20XX (talk) 19:23, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes. Crunchyroll LLC which is the same Funimation that brought the entire Dragon Ball series to North America. So you are correct. Imperial meter (talk) 04:05, 2 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ellation still exists and is operated as a subsidiary of Sony.[1] If you look up "Ellation LLC" online, they are the holders of the Crunchyroll trademarks as evidenced by the promotions. Imperial meter (talk) 20:19, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
