editThe reference mentioned doesn't mention their supposed weapons, and the account by Tacitus strongly suggests they were unarmed. Also, the figurine seems to show them with huge gloves, and no weapons whatsoever, nor a shield, much less a proper "scutum" (the huge one used by legionnaires), rather than the smallish ones used by some other gladiators. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.46.218.168 (talk) 05:01, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
