Re "not marketed in c.i." or "not marketed in SI"
In the table of engine size conversions, I put "not marketed in c.i." or "not marketed in SI" in cases where I am not aware of such marketing having been done. Obviously, if you know of an example where an engine was marketed in terms of the converted units, feel free to fill it in. Marine, racing, and other applications may have provided these examples where mainstream applications didn't. Lumbercutter 22:58, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Re used in the UK
As a UK engineer, auto enthusiast and pilot I cannot remember ever hearing reference to cubic inches apart from when referring to american engines or older model aircraft engines. Sure we still use some imperial units (although quite why beats me) but IC engine capacity is always measured in ccs or litres. List fo Engines??
Does it make sense having a list of engines and displancements here covering half of the article? I suggest to completely remove the table. Christoph Scholz (talk) 08:05, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- We could move it to the engine displacement article and just have a cross-reference here pointing to there. In fact, I will be bold and do that now. — ¾-10 17:42, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
