editAccording to the German Wikipedia ISO 4301-1:1986-06 shows the usage of the cubic mean. Unfortuntately these are not accessible without payment, so I have no easy way to verify this. Links are:

- Probably select one or two references for the formula, one or two about using it for machinery parts, and one or two saying it can be understood as the generalized mean with p=3. - I haven't yet found any for that statement, either, but it is rather obvious with a link to generalized mean.
