Art

This page would benefit with some changes:

You could delete the empty section "Portuguese art" because you split it afterwards into the sections "Portuguese literature and authors", "Portuguese theatre", "Portuguese film and television", "Portuguese music", so it seems the section "Portuguese art" is redundant and will most probably stay empty forever.

You should move the link to "Desenrascanço" from the "see also" section to the "Portuguese Stereotypes" section.

That's all. Just some sugestions.

    • I edited Portuguese art just because you said it would be empty forever. LOL. I've also made some few edits to start articles. So please continue editing. -Pedro 18:18, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Sports

It's great to see an inclusion of popular games in the sports section, but modern sports are completely concentrated on football. I think we need some information about our achievements in other areas, notably roller hockey, athletics and cycling, mentions of important events such as the Estoril Open or the Volta a Portugal. I'm able to contribute a few things about motorsport events and Portuguese racing drivers. --Pc13 12:04, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Painting

Perhaps the phrase: "the Portuguese art mad great contact with Flemish art" can be replaced by "Portuguese artists and Flemish artists were inspired by each other." I think that this is what the writer meant. Dawn22 23:52, 3 February 2006 (UTC) cool

Music

Should there be mention of the Cavaquinho in this section? Dawn22 07:44, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

"Inappropriate tone"

The sections on Music and Cinema (The former especially), are phrased in a far too familiar and informal tone. 68.39.174.238 02:58, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Heavy copyedit

I attemopted to make the tone more encyclopedic, removing a lot of material that was unclear to me. Where material was inappropriately removed please place it back in trying to make it clear for the naive reader. Paul foord 15:10, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
