editI took "Sarge's Snipers" and "DeBeers Diamondcutters" off the list of stables Hughes was in, since these were not stables. This article needs some work! Smart Mark Greene (talk) 21:46, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Curtis Hughes → Mr. Hughes – He's been "Mr." far more than he's just been "Curtis." I think this one takes the cake. GeicoHen (talk) 02:02, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
- Strong oppose "Mr. Hughes" should redirect to Howard Hughes -- 76.65.129.3 (talk) 04:46, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
- I disagree about the redirect. Curtis Hughes is professionally known as Mr. Hughes, whereas you would need to find significant sourcing that refers to Howard Hughes with only the honorific and not his first name. --Dkriegls (talk to me!) 05:49, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose WP:TITLE and more specifically WP:HONORIFIC discourage it. There "might" be cause if there was a citation indicating he legally changed his name to include Mr. Hughes (like Mr. T did). But the references on this page use both at about the same scale, so WP:CommonName wouldn't likely hold. --Dkriegls (talk to me!) 05:46, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose Yes, he certainly has wrestled more as "Mr. Hughes". If his first name had never been acknowledged in-universe, I'd probably support. But like Jon Heidenreich, Gene Snitsky, Shoichi Funaki or Vince McMahon, the more frequently used name is just short-form of the full name. This Mr. Hughes has used the "Mr." more substantially than the more famous John or Howard, so it should redirect here. But for precision's sake, it should not be the title (though I don't consider it an honorific in the policy's sense). InedibleHulk (talk) 19:19, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
