There was also an important early Internet network called "Cybernet"

edit

In 1970 Control Data Corporation integrated a number CDC 6000-series supercomputers in a notable early network used for aerospace development. Although there is no separate article on CDC's Cybernet, it certainly existed (I spent considerable time at their Inglewood node in Los Angeles). This "Cybernet" was one of the formative influences on the protocols that developed into the Internet we know today. Could this fact be turned into a stub, and the existing Cybernet page be fronted with a disambiguation page? I'd do the edit, but I'm not sure how.NefariousWheel (talk) 04:24, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
