Broken template
editBroken template on the main page? I see red text: "Template:Infobox artist performance".
That's not what I came here for, though. Cyclocide was present at the 2007 Maker Faire in San Mateo, California. That isn't a tour, and they weren't at the 2006 one, so they are not annual participants. So, it is noteworthy enough to go on the main page? If so, where? I took pictures of them there, I give permission for any of them to be used in Wikipedia, but the page might be image-laden enough already. Cyclecide Photos --Elijah 17:46, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Cyclecide was at Maker Faire in 2006 [1] -- I worked the event. Yes, the broken template is annoying. I didn't figure out how to create a template. That is on personal TODO list. :) In the meantime, I'll remove it. I'd be grateful if you would create a Template for Artist groups... musicians have one (a subset of art, and -- arguably -- more of a craft with heavy corporate ties than a creative art).
Proposed structure:
Infobox artist performance | Name = Cyclecide | Img = | Img_capt = | Img_size = | Genre = punk | Alias = Cyclecide Bike Rodeo | Origin = USA San Franciso, California,United States | Genre = R&B | Commercial = | Years_active = 1998-present | Associated_acts = Los Banos, Lifesize Mouse Trap | URL = www.cyclecide.com | Current_members = Jarico<br />Linda L.<br />August W.<br />Laird R.<br />Big Daddy<br />Rennessa L.<br />Spyder<br />Rudy R.<br />Jay B.<br />Rose H.<br />Mark P.<br />Summer B.<br /> | Past_members = Rat Girl<br />Erin P.<br /> | Notable_acts = Tall bike Jousting, Bicycle Mosh, Altered Bikes
Cleanup tag
editI removed the cleanup tag. Please either clean up your self or leave a message on this discussion of what needs to be done. Thanks! Rururudy 19:38, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- I thought it was fairly obvious the article needed cleanup, sorry if not. I often tag articles that need editing because I don't have time to edit them myself. Oh well, now I am doing it on the government's time. Way to stick it to the man, eh? I hope it looks better--as I noted in my edit summary, some of the sections could still use some work. Let me know if you have questions. Happy cycling! Katr67 20:37, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- What I think should be done:
- improve lead
- change "about" section. (what is meant with "about"? The entire article is about cyclecide...
- "notable acts". Is this worth a section?
- "Tours" I don't know if it is important, but they should be in chronological order, oldest first. (MoS!)--EdgeNavidad (talk) 16:57, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Removed from WikiProject Organized Crime
editI have removed this article from membership of WikiProject Organized Crime because this article is about a performance bicycle club, not a criminal organization. While, these clubs have sometimes been called bicycle gangs, they do not generally appear to be involved in crime, organised or otherwise. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 08:42, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
