Current literuature regarding CDK5 is confusing to say the least. Many experiments on Cdk5'role in neuronal system can not be repeated by others. So I would causion any further suggestions that Cdk5 is a target for neurological diseases. (moved from main page by AndrewGNF (talk) 17:00, 7 November 2008 (UTC)) From a documentary on Arte TV, CDK5 is at the origin of fear memorization. One of it's inhibitor is butyrolactone. Discovery timeline

edit

In the lead for this article it says that CDK5 was discovered "15 years ago" but... 15 years from when? There's no citation stating when it was discovered. It would be better to rewrite this with the actual year it was discovered, to keep this from being increasingly inaccurate. Lumberjane Lilly (talk) 13:38, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Physiological role: drug abuse section

edit

This section is very interesting but needs to be completely rewritten as it is not written in an encyclopaedic style. It's a bit out of my field for me to do it myself (it's all entirely new information to me so I don't want to accidentally change the meaning of something when rewriting it) so if someone with the appropriate expertise could rewrite this section it would be very much appreciated.
