As it stands, the current debate leans towards unification of all organizations cycling, be they small or large, sports- or mobility-oriented. This is a mess. The automobile world appears better known to wikipedians than the cycling world. Nobody in Central Europe in their right mind would confuse those levels. Whether you want to go racing, BMX-ing, or whether you are an activist or an active user of cycling mobility, all of these will never confuse the corresponding dedicated organizations. Mobility advocates won't be found in a racing association, and vice versa. For illustration, I tried to already distinguish some aspects inline. If it is felt that "association" and "club" mean the same thing, then we probably have to pursue the categorized title path "cycle club (sports)" vs "cycle club (mobility)", etc. ... The existence of only one article tries to narrow down the real world to a degree where I would say it does more harm than good and in a way that would not be tolerated by automobilists if they were in cyclist's stead. -- Kku (talk) 09:50, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
