Strucuture questions
editThe lewis structure and the 3d structure don't match, is this intentional?ShiinaMikado (talk) 21:16, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
Hello, just wanted to say that the picture shows the unbridged isomer and two times the trans isomer, but the cis isomer is not shown at all. - Vitus — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.174.148.126 (talk) 09:17, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- Good point, but the equation was trying to show the terminal-bridge exchange. How much cis isomer is there? --Smokefoot (talk) 13:36, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Cyclopropanation
editHelquist reagent (RN 72120-26-4). In the 32 years since it was disclosed, the reagent was cite one time by someone other than Helquist, who has mainly written reviews or revised preps for it. As nicely explained in this article, Fp2 is a powerful source of versatile reagents, but its all shelfware basically.--Smokefoot (talk) 18:32, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
Iron Iron Bond
editShould there not be a Iron-Iron bond in the CO bridged structures to suggest electron pairing between the two d7 iron centers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:67C:10EC:5746:8000:0:0:1255 (talk) 09:35, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- Please see the § Structure section of the article, which discusses that of the three major forms, only the least-prevalent one has an Fe–Fe bond. Instead, it specifically mentions the disproving of the formerly popular idea of substantial bond of that type. DMacks (talk) 13:24, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
