I must have some non-sucky photos of Cyril somewhere in the boxes of photos I still have back in Perth ... - David Gerard 13:12, 1 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Schwarz's mother

edit

I believe I have read that Vosper's attempt to deprogram Barbara Schwarz came by the request of Schwarz's mother. Obviously if so, this is important information for the article. Can anyone find an RS for this? -- Antaeus Feldspar 02:05, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, a lot of other parts of this article need to be expanded, and citations added... Smee 04:00, 19 February 2007 (UTC).Reply
Can be found here Ingo Heinemann: Anmerkungen zu Hartwigs Buch "Die Schattenspieler". Ingo Heinemann is an attorney and scientology critic. The page is about a book that (wrongly) accused him of being involved in that deprogramming 25 years ago. That page is his rebuttal, which also mentions that he was never indicted or contacted for an investigation. This is the text that mentions the mother:
1987 hat Cyril Vosper im Auftrag der Mutter einer Scientologin zusammen mit zwei weiteren Engländern die Tochter in ein von der Mutter angemietetes Haus gelockt und eingesperrt and Offenbar hatte die Mutter den Engländern nicht gesagt, dass ihre Tochter nicht eine beliebige Scientologin war, sondern die frühere Pressesprecherin Barbara Schwarz.

I understand now what you meant with Barbara Schwarz/Hartwig. Misou 00:21, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Conviction and Sentence

edit

According to Ingo Heinemann [1]: "Vosper wurde nach zwei Monaten Untersuchungshaft zu 5 Monaten Freiheitsstrafe auf Bew?ung verurteilt." it means he was sentenced to five months probation, but did spend two months in jail awaiting trial. He was convicted of "joint deprivation of liberty legally concurring with jointly causing bodily harm". This is not the same as "kidnapping". There is a translation of the court decision here [2], sadly not from an reliable source. --Tilman 16:13, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
