A fact from Dương Văn Minh appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 2 August 2010 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
|
Untitled
edit"were shot by Minh's bodyguard while trying to escape"
to "were murdered (by Minh's forces) after surrendering". Nhu was shot down like a dog while being transported in an APC. Dunno about Diem but I expect the execution was similarly cold-blooded.
Terms of office
editThe succession box for Presidents of South Vietnam is way off. I'm fixing it.--Eric 02:57, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Can someone more accomplished than me please fix up the infobox. Cripipper 15:23, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
I've just had a go, but it only seems to accept one term of office; maybe it's a metaphor for something... Richard 62.6.139.11 14:55, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
1964 coup
editThis article is contradictory with the article about Nguyen Khanh. The latter states that the coup was in August, not in Jannuary. 193.171.121.30 17:44, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Duong Van Minh
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Duong Van Minh's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 07:03, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Karnow quote
editIt simply says 'Everybody and his brother had a plot' which is a clear figure of speech, as not all of the officers were involved, nor would they all have a brother necessarily. It is OR and flagrant falsification to say that Karnow means Nhut. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bumbubookworm (talk • contribs) 11:30, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
