Under Sporatic reunions, a tag needs to be fixed, I will not do it since every time I edit something lately it gets reversed even spelling mistakes, -D —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.226.186.84 (talk) 15:47, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think it is clear that DX is back, and this is the fifth incarnation of the stable. The promotion of the match as being between DX and Legacy suggests that DX is an active stable / tag team. Slyfield (talk) 05:07, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

edit

I'm not 100 % sure, so I didn't edit this, but if memory serves me right, Rick Rude was never a member of D.X. He was a member of what was HBK's "insurance policy" prior to the DX stable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.219.166.18 (talk) 19:01, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would have to disagree. If you want to change the way you say it he was still a member. DX security/insurance. He was still a DX member. Okay, but what about K-Kwik (R-Truth)? If memory serves me right there was a point when DX was The New Age Outlaws, K-Kwik and Chyna, I remember them facing the Radicalz. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.202.239.121 (talk) 17:56, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Attitude era

edit

This part is absolutey ridiculous: "It also was one of the two main contributing factors to the World Wrestling Federation's Attitude Era (along with Stone Cold Steve Austin)"

The two main factors to the Attitude era were by far Austin and The Rock, with Mick Foley being a strong third place. I changed it to: "It also was one of the main contributing factors to the World Wrestling Federation's Attitude Era." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.219.166.18 (talk) 15:55, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually Stone Cold Steve Austin started his "hell raising antics" before The Rock was a major superstar. So it was correct in saying that DX and Stone Cold were the two main spearheads of the attitude era. Shawn Michaels himself was the first superstar to imply on camera that Vince had any power in the WWE as seen on the Undertaker's DVD. During a match against The Undertaker (before Austin vs. McMahon even started) Shawn walked up to Vince while he was doing commentary and told him that he was crazy and he was not going to face The Undertaker. Xvxaderynxvx (talk) 16:31, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the history lesson, but I've already known that. Now a logic lesson please: what the hell one being older than the other has to do with what had a bigger factor ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.219.166.18 (talk) 12:18, 25 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

If it wasn't for the Montreal Screwjob, there would be no 3:16, no 3:16; no Attitude Era. Cheers, Altenhofen (talk) 12:51, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

HBK One Night in 1999?

He helped DX on an episode of SmackDown I think. I remember one time when he did something for them but he wasn't really a member, he was just doing what he wanted like his character always has. TonyFreakinAlmeida (talk) 20:23, 14 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Crotch Chop

edit

It says in the crotch chop section that Triple H said Vince McMahon was uneasy about them performing the X variant which doesn't have them point to their crotches. Why would Vince be uneasy about them performing the less risque version? Surely it would be the other way round - he, like a post-Christian Shawn, is okay with the X but not with pointing to their groins. Tony2Times (talk) 23:50, 2 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

He's obviously hinting at a possible DX reunion, so you can at least put something along the lines of "Triple H has stated a possible DX reunion after unsuccessfully defeating The Legacy on the August 3rd edition of Raw." (71.96.5.241 (talk) 19:28, 7 August 2009 (UTC))Reply

Also, see WP:CRYSTAL. Nikki311 19:30, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

But it's not confirmed. DX might return at SummerSlam, since Triple H did hint it on Raw, but you're just gonna have to wait and see what happens at SummerSlam. That's all I can say. End of discussion. Save Us.Y2J 15:49, August 8 2009 (UTC)

There is just one thing that I don't get, if Triple H HINTED a DX reunion why is it not there? And who here is responsible for Triple H's article? It is really outdated! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.57.203.182 (talk) 16:51, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tonight on Raw (8/10) the search for Shawn Michaels began, and they had the DX logo for the promo. DX is back. (71.96.5.241 (talk) 01:14, 11 August 2009 (UTC))Reply

I knew it! I told you all. Lets just act professional and not brag and act like 10 year olds. How about we add the fifth incarnation to the incarnation section? 24.57.203.182 (talk) 03:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is this current incarnation really separate from the last one? Same members, same dynamic, and they've been teaming on and off ever since the "fourth incarnation"--Crestville (talk) 18:31, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why won't we contact the wwe? I will contact them in a e-mail asking if this is their incarnation from the one night only reunion in 2007 or if this is a new incarnation. 24.57.203.182 (talk) 18:43, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

good luck with that--Crestville (talk) 20:13, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

You are right, let's just say that ths is their 5th incarnation. 24.57.203.182 (talk) 21:58, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

If DX isn't together after Summerslam, we might as well just say it was a One/Two-time thing, and leave it with the 4 incarnation. (71.96.5.241 (talk) 05:36, 13 August 2009 (UTC))Reply

Agreed. 24.57.203.182 (talk) 16:49, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

On Friday night SMACKDOWN ! it was said that DX will reunite for one night only to take on the Legacy. They are using their 4th incarnation. 24.57.203.182 (talk) 06:00, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

On Monday Night RAW Dx is still around, despite having beaten Legacy. They're not going anywhere, this is not a "one night reunion" by any means. Slyfield (talk) 04:55, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

But they won't be here for next week or the week after. They are just using the DX return for summerslam, if they are here not this raw but the one after then it is not a one night only reunion. 24.57.203.182 (talk) 01:39, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yeah...this is definitely an official reunion. 98.164.107.190 (talk) 22:19, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Championship accomplishments

edit
Can x-pacs tag team title be counted? I triple h wins a title while dx is inactive would you consider that a win?

At the time of winning the title with kane could you consider X-pac a member of dx? And if he was then at the time of winning the title was he acting as a representative of degeneration x or was he acting on his own behalf dealing with personal interest in the tag team titles? His Tag team with Kane did quickly disolve after members of DX got back on the same page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.84.73.217 (talk) 02:44, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes I would consider X-Pac a member of DX at the time he won his first title with Kane because DX was definitely still around on 30th March '99 as it was only two days after WrestleMania XV when Triple H & Chyna left them and X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn continued as a group up until King of The Ring in June. Even after then Road Dogg and X-Pac associated with each other and wore DX paraphenalia. Their second reign is a bit more dubious but considering Road Dogg came to the ring to celebrate and Kane used a DX catchphrase, there's an argument to be made. Tony2Times (talk) 02:41, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have to add Chyna's Women's Championship to this discussion. She was aligned with Eddie Guerrero at the time and won the title in 2001 at Wrestlemania X-7, while DX was officially dissolved in April 2000 according to the page. Spartan198 (talk) 11:55, 25 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Mike Tyson

edit

I took his name off because technically, he was only the big celebrity guest for Wrestlemania XIV. He punched out HBK at Wrestlemania XIV and revealed himself to be an ally of Stone Cold. If he was a part of D-X, then he was a part of the version between when Rick Rude left and Wrestlemania XIV, since the day after, HHH started the next era of D-X with X-Pac's return & the addition of the New Age Outlaws. 65.43.96.3 (talk) 18:37, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Missing incarnation

edit

Why is there no mention of the version of DX when the members were Kane, X-Pac, and Road Dogg? 76.232.150.213 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:43, 20 October 2009 (UTC).Reply

Because Kane was never part of D-X. X-Pac at one time directly says to Kane backstage something along the lines of "this DX thing doesn't effect me and you, it's just something else I'm also a part of". The 'incarnation' was merely the tail end of the DX Army, but Triple H&Chyna were with The Corporation and Billy Gunn had gone solo. Tony2Times (talk) 23:53, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ripp off

No mention of D-Generation X's name and logo being a blatant rip off of D Generation? Or is this POV. 76.181.40.160 (talk) 01:10, 23 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

It would more likey be OR. Unless there is a reliable source talking about their logo a ripoff we can't.--76.71.215.222 (talk) 00:25, 31 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

D-X Army

Where did you guys get the name D-X Army from for DX when it was HHH, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, X-Pac and Chyna —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.226.224.235 (talk) 10:21, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

From their mouths. Tony2Times (talk) 04:46, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah but where is the actual proof. I thought Wikipedia ned true written or video proof of it. I know t hey call there fans the DX Army. But I don't remeber them being called the DX Army when X-Pac, Road Dog and Billy Gunn where members —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.226.224.235 (talk) 13:48, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
I don't have the video that is cited in the DX Army section but in the same promo where Triple H talks about Michaels dropping the ball at WrestleMania, he talks about building an army and looking to family, to blood, to the Kliq and then X-Pac returns. I imagine it's also on the video. That's compounded by the months thereafter of army themed skits by DX most famously including them attempting to invade WCW over the course of two or three weeks on tanks and in camouflage. Michaels&Triple H refer to the fans as an army now because two men isn't much of a force in their diluted DX. Tony2Times (talk) 03:12, 28 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is a bit of an error in the DX Army section. When it says that DX "pointed out" that WCW was giving away free tickets to fill the arena, that wasn't actually happening. At least not yet. Though I don't know if there is any source to cite, because I don't know how many people know this, the "free tickets" thing was actually just clever editing. I lived in the Hampton Roads area at the time. I was going to RAW that night and picked up a friend and we passed the scope on the way to the WWF event. While I didn't see DX there, I *did* notice the marquee. The scope had a scrolling marquee to promote everything going on in the arena. On tv, we saw "Free tickets" then "wcw monday nitro tonight". What we did NOT see on tv was what the sign said BEFORE "free tickets". It was "Craft Show". So the scroll said "Craft Show (with whatever date that was". Then "Free tickets". THEN "WCW monday nitro tonight". The free tickets were 100% guaranteed for the craft show, not Nitro, as Nitro was still on top of the ratings at that point. RAW had just gotten its first rating win in years a week or two before that night. I want to change the wording, but would like to discuss it first, considering there are no sources to verify what I know with 100% certainty. Hsox05 (talk) 17:23, 4 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

that is very true I remember seeing a documentary or something on dx or there being a lawsuit back in the 2000s on WWE for defamation on WCW so but idk but I think your right AjWalker1 (talk) 17:16, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Association with Ric Flair

edit

Can someone tell me how Ric Flair was associated with DX during their tag team incarnation? I keep deleting it along with Mike Tyson but people keep adding it so much I'm starting to second guess myself. Flair isn't mentioned once through the article, whereas Hornswoggle was confirmed as a mascot (much to my chagrin) and Michaels won the Tag Titles with Cena while still using DX music. Can anyone fill me in on Flair? As for Tyson, he is as much associated with the DX tag team as Ben Rothlesberger. Tony2Times (talk) 09:30, 8 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Tyson was an associate of D-X for a long time in 1998 leading all the way up to WrestleMania XIV. He has every right to be considered and associate of D-X in the Orginal incarnation, however not in the tag team. Flair however in the tag team teamed with D-X numerous times, much like Cena and D-X helped in many of his matches.88.108.80.57 (talk) 22:54, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Twice two weeks apart isn't numerous so much as a couple of times? Tyson is associated with the original stable, I agree with you and said tag team specifically. Tony2Times (talk) 00:02, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Membership list on the template

edit

Is it just me or does 24.5.153.147 insist on changing the list of members, with no reason given as to why, despite several other users disagreeing and asking them to refrain? I believe that the consensus would be that, since DX no longer is active, the list should show a list of all full fledged members during the group's entire existence. 24.5.153.147 insists on reverting the list back to the last lineup and including Hornswoggle, who was never a member but a mascot. The fact that his account seems to exist to make ONLY this one edit repeatedly, makes it seem like a possible vandalism only account or perhaps a sock puppet approach to making a change that was reverted on them under an actual account. I'd like to ask for a vote on consensus though so this can be solved once and for all. Thanks. NJZombie (talk) 02:51, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm entirely in agreement with you; I didn't realise it was one user doing it repeatedly. If that's the ase then definitely try and have them blocked or this page protected. I would do it, but I don't really know how. Tony2Times (talk) 07:03, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Harvey Wippleman

edit

How come there is no mention of Harvey Wippleman introducing DX in the role of Rick Rude the week after Rude left to WCW nor is there any information on Rude leaving the group and appearing on Nitro and Raw on the same night? TheGary (talk) 08:50, 30 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fifth Incarnation?

edit

I think a Fifth Incarnation should be added now which is the one that pops up every now and then, consisting of HHH, HBK, X-Pac and New Age Outlaws. Started on RAW 1000 and has made a few appearance since, mainly at non-televised shows.

Orphaned references in D-Generation X

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of D-Generation X's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "pwi105":

  • From Billy Gunn: "2007 Wrestling Almanac & Book of Facts". Wrestling's Historical Cards. Kappa Publishing. 2007. p. 105.
  • From Kurt Angle: PWI Staff. Pro Wrestling Illustrated presents: 2007 Wrestling almanac & book of facts. "Wrestling's historical cards" (p. 105)

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 09:19, 1 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
