After spending some time going through archived web pages of some of the earlier years of the academy of learned that the academy's website has not accurately updated regarding several of the earlier annual award presentation. According to the archived, original webpage for the academy's craft awards from 1999, Metal Gear Solid is listed as the winner for Outstanding Achievement in Software Engineering and not The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In addition, I came across a Forbes article with a photo of Miyamoto from 2nd Interactive Achievement Awards holding up five (5) awards. Why would he only hold up five awards if Ocarina of Time had six? If Zelda: OoT won six Miyamoto probably would have held up a sixth award. MR.RockGamer17 (talk) 22:06, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
