Article title
editIs this more commonly known as Digital Bibliography & Library Project or DBLP? DBLP seems to be its official name, as far as I can tell from its website. Nurg (talk) 06:07, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
As of 12 April 2012 (probably much earlier) the page is titled "The DBLP Computer Science Bibliography" as such I am requesting page move and also adding text to the backronym references to reflect this. Davient (talk) 03:06, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
suggested merge
editThe project is certainly notable overall, but the browser is only one part of it and coannot IMO justify an independent article. Better to have one comprehensive article.DGG (talk) 23:04, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved to DBLP. Favonian (talk) 09:50, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
Digital Bibliography & Library Project → DBLP Computer Science Bibliography – This is the current official title for the DBLP. The previous Wikipedia title "Digital Bibliography & Library Project" should be superseded by simply DBLP and/or DBLP Computer Science Bibliography. As the DBLP FAQ states DBLP is preferred over the outdated "DataBase systems and Logic Programming" and no mention is made of the assumed backronym "Digital Bibliography & Library Project" though this backronym description clearly fits the properties of the service. - Support move, but to DBLP The website titles indeed "The DBLP Computer Science Bibliography", but further only DBLP is used and DBLP FAQ: What is the meaning of "DBLP"? mentions "...You may now accept "DBLP" as a name of this service. The initial acronym has lost its meaning." So I suggest to use DBLP as the common name and title for this article (WP:COMMONNAME). -- SchreyP (messages) 07:09, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
- Rename to DBLP Per SchreyP. —Ruud 19:17, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
- Rename to DBLP. In addition to the reasons given by SchreyP, this name has the additional advantage that it is correct for all three choices of expansion. —David Eppstein (talk) 22:19, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
