TEP 60 (talk) 12:45, 16 August 2008 (UTC) The top speed of the 215 in the freight mode has been 90, not 100 km/h.Reply

too technical

edit

This article is very technical and reads like an engineering manual. Can someone please expand the sentences to make them readable? Rintrah 09:28, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Upon cursory examination, I don't think this article needs copyediting anymore. But it should be made more readable. Rintrah 09:17, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Title

edit

Is there a reason why this page is called

  • "DBAG Class 210, 215 - 218, 219 old"

and not just

  • "DBAG Class 210, 215 - 219"

or

  • "DBAG Class 210, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219"

Yes, after the German reunification the former DR Class 119 engines have been renumbered 219 to comply with the common notation scheme. The "old" DB 219 had already been phased out then. 217.6.97.142 (talk) 13:14, 25 June 2015 (UTC)dmsReply

I'd change it but perhaps there's a good reason (please excuse my ignorance)Carrolljon (talk) 02:12, 16 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

'New' articles

edit

I'm intending to make separate articles for each class as already exist at the german wikipedia.

Main reasons are:

  • I didn't find half as much info as I wanted in the article - hence I want to expand them
  • If I expand this article for all the classes it might become very long.
  • I also found the non-numerical treatment of the classes a bit confusing.

Once these articles are made this article could act as a hub - (perhaps renamed "DB V160 family" or similar), or the article could be deleted.

Any thoughts/comments/requests/objections ?FengRail (talk) 23:33, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

move

edit

I've expanded the article and moved it here ie DB V 160 family.

Class 215

edit

The class 215 never had a "V" designation as it has been built after the V164 protoytypes (later 218) and before the 218 series production. It had been built as an interim type based on the V160 before the final decision between the V162 and V164 has been made. The "V" designation has been obsolete at this time. 217.6.97.142 (talk) 13:06, 25 June 2015 (UTC)dmsReply
