There's actually at least 2 (some might argue three) classes covered by the article but information on locomotives of this age is scanty and they exist fairly well in the same article. I think the easiest way to describe the numbering/renumbering/rebuilds of these locomotives as given by the 2 book sources I currently have is sometimes less than straightforward .... Clements/McMahon are from the viewpoint of the GSR at 1925&+ and Ahrons needs to be read very carefully to avoid mistakes. Thankyou.Djm-leighpark (talk) 07:54, 12 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
