Age/Year of birth
editWhy is an incorrect birth year listed on the wiki google page? That is inaccurate information.
Daeg doesn't like it when people talk about his age. None of us know his age, and if Daeg has anything to say about it, we never will. Most celebrities are okay with their ages, but there are some liek Daeg, or Ronnie James Dio, who would rather keep it private. So, whoever keeps adding a year or birth, please stop; it's annoying for Daeg, and I'm sure he's tired of reverting your edits. PF4Eva (talk) 21:46, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- Daeg added his birthdate as 27/09/1992 so I guess you're wrong dipstick. 84.203.232.66 (talk) 23:29, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- At least 3 separate birth years have been put into the infobox in recent days, none of which had a reference. I've removed that line entirely. Replace if and when you have a reliable source you cite. Do not add a date without the citation - this has gotten ridiculous. LadyofShalott 13:34, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- A year was re-added with a comment about its having been on his MySpace page, but often changed. If it's not on there NOW, we can't use it as a reliable source, especially if he plays around with it. Then that date was changed, leaving the MySpace comment intact. I have removed it entirely again. Please, do NOT add a date of birth to this biography of a living person unless you have a reliable source and you cite it. LadyofShalott 17:41, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Many actors, models and workers in many professions do not give out their age so as not to be pigeon-holed and labeled thereby narrowing their chance of getting a job. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.33.202.236 (talk) 17:02, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
pronunciation?
edit?
Does Daeg sound like 'Peg' or like 'Haig'? Does Faerch sound like 'fair'/'fare' or like 'ferret'/'Ferris wheel'? — kwami (talk) 03:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's pronounced Day-g Fair-k. Daeg even said so on his official Myspace. Halloween-themovie.com says so, too. Rob Zombie and everybody else pronounces it Day-g on the Halloween DVD (in the commentary and in the featurettes and the bloopers with Daeg and Sherri Moon playing on the monkey bars at the Sanitarium). PF4Eva (talk) 22:00, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, but you added the IPA for deg, not day-g. — kwami (talk)
- Saying it rhymes with "egg" and "leg" is highly misleading in that case, since most English speakers pronounce those words with the vowel of "dress". If it has the vowel of "face", you should say it rhymes with "Haig" and "vague". And "ā" isn't an IPA symbol, so it shouldn't be used at all. —Angr 14:28, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, but you added the IPA for deg, not day-g. — kwami (talk)
Everyone I've ever known (myself included) has only pronounced the words as āg and lāg with a short a sound, rhyming with plague and vague. And thus, somebody should tell Webster to make that the official pronunciation, because I refuse to pronounce it eh-g or leh-g. I even pronunce Lego as Lay-go. PF4Eva (talk) 23:05, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the only people I know who pronounce egg and leg to rhyme with plague and vague are people with strong Texas accents. (I grew up in Texas but don't have the accent myself.) I know the pronunciation occurs in other areas than Texas, but even in the U.S. it's a minority pronunciation, and outside the U.S. I don't think it occurs at all. —Angr 04:35, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Most Notably?
editAt the very beginning of this article it lists Daeg's movie appearances and says "most notably" the Halloween remake. I didn't read any further but that is flagrantly POV language. Somebody needs to go over this article carefully.68.227.219.59 (talk) 19:53, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see how it's POV given that Halloween is Daeg's only significant role to date. I mean, off the top of my head, aside from some short films he only had cameos in Pushing Daisies and Hancock.--CyberGhostface (talk) 19:58, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
H2 (Halloween 2)
editThis is in regards to the editing wars regarding whether Daeg has officially signed on to the Halloween sequel, H2. Daeg has officially confirmed this via IMDb and Myspace. And here are a few news links that could prove useful:
Bloody-Disgusting HorrorMovies.ca Dread Central
I hope this settles it. Thank you for your time. PF4Eva (talk) 22:53, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- As of yesterday (March 3, 2009), the role of Young Michael Myers will be recast due to Daeg's "increased height." PF4Eva (talk) 16:21, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
- Today (March 9, 2009), Daeg has given a blog update that he might be worked into H2 via a cameo/archive footage. PF4Eva (talk) 21:46, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- What he said was "I hope they use footage of me" which doesn't really confirm anything either way. And they probably wouldn't use any of the shot footage either (unless it's cut footage from the first film), being that since he was recast on being too big. If Rob's going to recast young Michael, why would he use the footage of the old one?--CyberGhostface (talk) 19:20, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
- Ummm... Would it help you to know that the IP address that keeps adding this info is Daeg himself? He even said so per his MySpace page: [1]
“ | Thursday, March 12, 2009
wikipedia cyberghost / young Michael : possible cameo someone over at wikipedia doesn't want anyone to know this but the studio has reserved the right to use my stills and likeness in the now filming H2 movie, they specifically retained that specific right in the latest contract between us; so although young Michael is to be recast in H2, the studio has retained the right to use stills and archived material of me so... there a possiblity that I may make some kind of 'cameo' appearance I don't know what the deal is over there at wikipedia but they keep deleting that info, sheesh |
” |
So there. It's Daeg. It's his info. Therefore, he, being the subject of the article, should be counted as a reliable source. Although he doesn't say anythnig is set in stone, he does say that it is a strong possibility. Quit deleting everything Daeg adds to his own article. Please. Thank you. PF4Eva (talk) 20:34, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Your assertion that the IP address is the subject's isn't something that any other editor can check, which is the essence of reliable sourcing. If the material is on his MySpace page, then Faerch is a reliable source about what he thinks is true, what he's done, etc, . So an edit that says Faerch has said that blah blah blah... could be reliably sourced to his myspace page. Studerby (talk) 21:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
How exactly was I supposed to know that some anonymous IP was Daeg in the first place, especially since Daeg had officially registered prior? I don't have ESP.--CyberGhostface (talk) 20:45, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Daeg editing the article/appearing in H2
editI asked User:Bignole if the fact that Daeg's the IP in question adding about his role in H2 changes anything, and he said...
- Not really. First, [Daeg] has no control over whether they put him in the film. Second, every contract any actor signs gives the studio the right to use any material from the film in anything they want (i.e. they own the film, thus they can use clips if they want to, they just have to pay him for using his image). Lastly, Zombie has given no indication that he plans to use any old footage, and he has explicitly stated that he is recasting the role. If he is recasting, what point is it to use archive footage of Faerch? If someone says, "Yes, we plan to use some footage of him." then that's fine, but subjective possibilities is not for an encyclopedia.
If push comes to shove, I can bring this up to WP:FILM but I'm likely to get the same answer. Look, I like Daeg as much as the next guy, but this is pretty much "I shot some footage before they recast me, so it might be used" and really not much else.--CyberGhostface (talk) 21:19, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Now, Bloody-Disgusting, a very notable and reliable source for horror, is reporting:
“ | But fans of Daeg will be happy to know that Dimension Films has retained his likeness rights and can use his image in the sequel, now filming in Georgia. How it will be used is unknown, but there is talk that they might superimpose his face when Michael's not wearing a mask. | ” |
Source: http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/15668/
Is this enough to get it included in the artlce? Thank you. PF4Eva (talk) 21:48, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Can you ask the people at WP:HORROR first? They'll probably know best what to do.--CyberGhostface (talk) 23:01, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
H2 footage w/Daeg from Entertainment Tonight
editHas anybody (not) seen the H2 first look from Entertainment Tonight? We see some kind of footage of Daeg putting on a papier mache mask and then later we see him with the clown mask from the 2007 remake. He's also been hinting that it's him ("Guess where I am?" "Don't blink"). Can it be added, or should be wait for official(er) word? PF4Eva (talk) 00:03, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- I suppose the question is, is this new footage from H2, recycled footage from the first film, or something else? I sent Daeg a message asking him to ask Rob Zombie to post an announcement on his MySpace to clear up any of the confusion. But even if he doesn't, I'm sure that more news will come from the grapevine and we'll get a definite answer soon enough.--CyberGhostface (talk) 02:45, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
"Run Bitch Run" film
editWhy does the addition of Daeg's film "Run Bitch Run," in which he plays the role of Tommy, keep being marked as spam and reverted? What the hell? Look it up:
- IMDb
- Answers.com
- Flixster.com
- Theatrical trailer on TerrorFeed.com (WARNING: strong sexual content; may not be for minors)
- horror101.com
- FatallyYours.com
What more proof do you need that this film exists and that it is not made-up spam? What the hell's the deal here? PF4Eva (talk) 16:26, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Mental
editWho removed Mental from Daeg's filmography and why? Look it up on IMDb. It exists. Daeg even uploaded his scene on YouTube. It exists. Please allow it to be added back. Thank you. PF4Eva (talk) 22:30, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
Updated picture?
editI think it would be a good idea to update the picture of Daeg to a more recent one. He's grown a bit since 2007. What was wrong with the previous picture? PF4Eva (talk) 23:47, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
- Late reply but it would have to be a free image and not a copyrighted one. That might have been why the previous one was removed.--CyberGhostface (talk) 22:11, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Musical career
editOnly one reference is made to his rap musical career, albeit in passing. He raps under the stage name GreatDaeg. This could be elaborated on. Thanks. PF4Eva (talk) 08:20, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Why was it removed that Mr. Faerch is also a rapper and model? The rapper part, at least, can very well be verified. He is/was signed to Sony Music Group. PF4Eva (talk) 14:04, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
Updates (2021)
editI've updated his credits to the best they could be verified. According to his official Patreon, he's been filming for HBO's Euphoria. He's also developing a project called "My Father Was a Vampire." PF4Eva (talk) 10:11, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
