Notability
editAll PCC are considered notable thus relevant for inclusion in Wikipedia. Does anyone disagree? If not, will remove notability notice. Macs15 (talk) 23:15, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- I disagree completely. No politician is automatically considered notable because of their role - there needs to be a wide body of published information about them to establish that, i.e. what is set out in the notability criteria. See this discussion Wikipedia_talk:Notability/Archive_72#Q_about_chief_constables. Llywelyn needs more coverage to establish his notability - he needs to be shown to have done things other than just be elected to a role. 10mmsocket (talk) 05:43, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
Out of 7 references, six of them would seem to qualify as secondary sources. They are also varied in relevance, between academia and elections. What is lacking here in terms of WP:BASIC? - Keith D. Tyler ¶ 23:32, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
Also, Llywelyn is a commissioner, an elected public oversight position, and not a constable, an internal police appointment, so I don't see how the linked discussion is relevant here. - Keith D. Tyler ¶ 23:36, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
